Description
Systemen van Polarisatie is een collectie van interactieve werken die opereren op de uiterste grenzen van games en hedendaagse kunst. Tijdens de ervaringen worden spelers uitgedaagd om polarisatie-voedende systemen te onderzoeken door abstracte interactie, taal en resultaten van eerdere spelers.
Elk individueel werk illustreert, zowel in vormgeving en interactie, een apart systeem en wordt gerepresenteerd door één begrip. Door het spel heen ontdekt de speler de regels die de interactie in het spel bepalen en maakt de speler keuzes op basis van hun interpretatie van deze regels. Tussen de spelsessies door krijgt de speler de input en resultaten van eerdere spelers te zien, die nieuwe perspectieven kunnen bieden op de gevormde interpretatie. Aan het einde van het spel geeft de speler hun eigen toevoegingen aan het werk, die komende spelers dan weer te zien krijgen.
Leonardo van Oldenborgh maakt gebruik van speelse interacties om deelnemers vanuit henzelf binnen een veilige, gesimuleerde, ontworpen omgeving na te laten denken over confronterende hedendaagse onderwerpen. In het bijzonder komen vraagstukken aan bod waar bijna iedereen al (on)bewust een mening over heeft gevormd of heel snel ter plekke een automatische mening vormt. Hij wil voornamelijk deelnemers leren, ondersteunen en inspireren om kritisch te denken over hun eigen gedachtes en acties, en door wat en op welke manier deze beïnvloed worden.
