Description
The Soul of Remedies is a comprehensive guide and companion volume on Materia Medica of Dr.Rajan Sankaran's previous books - "The Spirit of Homoeopathy" and "The Substance of Homoeopathy".
This work is based on the strong conviction – 'what appears on the surface may be quite different from what is actually inside.'
Dr. Sankaran gives importance to all the physical and pathological symptoms, the modalities of the remedy and most essentially the mental symptoms. 'The Soul of Remedies' is a compilation of 100 remedies where the innermost feelings and mental states have been highlighted.
Each remedy begins with its kingdom and miasm. A specific mental symptom, 'the soul of the remedy' is well elaborated with regards to its expression and how different is it in other remedies. For example, the book describes a symptom 'Fitful moods' in Aconitum and how it is different from Argentum nitricum and Arsenicum.
After in detail description of the remedy the main physical concomitants and rubrics are mentioned in bullet forms. Few precise rubrics found in Kent and Phatak repertories comprise the end.
Dr. Rajan Sankaran is a Practitioner, Research Scientist, Teacher and Author of Homoeopathy System of Medicine. He is an internationally renowned thinker, teacher and writer of the homeopathic system of medicine. He is reputed to be a clear and original thinker and is best known for his path breaking concepts in Homoeopathy.
