I have used CircuitLogix for the past semester and it is a fantastic simulation tool. It performs excellent digital, analog, and mixed-mode simulations. I originally bought the student version and then upgraded to the Pro version for the extra devices and models. For $295, it is a great deal. I had used Multisim in the past and it pales in comparison to CircuitLogix.
My only complaint is that there isn't a Mac version, but it seems to work on every Windows operating system. Malcolm Ridley
