Description
En Suisse, 0,4 à 1% de la population subit chaque année un arrêt cardiorespiratoire (ACR), ce qui correspond à environ 8’000 personnes. Pour accroître le succès d’une réanimation cardiaque, deux gestes sont essentiels : un massage cardiaque précoce et une défibrillation dans les premières minutes. Dès lors, il importe de pouvoir bénéficier d’une formation Basic Life Support (BLS) ou Basic Life Support & Automated External Defibrillator (BLS-AED) ainsi que d’une mise à disposition de défibrillateurs à proximité de l’événement.
Jusqu'à 80% des victimes pourraient être réanimées mais, au niveau suisse, un peu plus de 5% des patients survivent actuellement. Toutefois, la référence en matière de taux de survie peut atteindre plus de 55%. Alors, pourquoi ne pas agir ?
